Potted History: DC Dynamos were formed in 2008 as a spin-off of MBD United, who had too many players. DC split from MBD before the 08/09 season had started and shared the Dudley Wood playing fields.

DC started the season slowly and by mid-November they still only had four points. But from then on things took off and they had quite a run of form. Things tailed off a bit towards the end of the year. Early on DC looked like another also-ran but as the season progressed, they became a realistic proposition for promotion but the damage had been done and they ended their first year in WMCFL in seventh in Division Three.

The 2009/10 started promisingly and after one or two splutters DC were away. They went on a run from 31 October right through to late March without losing a game. In the meantime they'd qualified for the League Cup Final. For some reason the wheels then came off and they lost three in a row, missing out on the Division Three title. In the Cup Final DC came up against a City Church side on the up and despite putting up a brave fight were overcome. The match featured on Sky Sports News soon after.

Sadly, DC folded in the summer of 2010. It was a roller-coaster ride for those involved and I'm sure they'll look back with fondness and a wry smile. It was good to have DC in WMCFL; they added colour and flavour to the league.
