SK Corinthians 3 St Thomas Aldridge 5

We started well enough taking the lead on 15 minutes through Tommy Wright who netted a sweet header from a free kick. Unfortunately for the rest of the half several of our players chose to concentrate on disputing every decision against them rather than the football. SK took full advantage taking control and scoring an excellent equaliser on 40 minutes. We went in level at the interval thanks only to a good save by “young” Rob Wood. Thankfully sanity prevailed at half time and we had a much more mature attitude after the restart. Within 10 minutes Mark Sherriff gave us the lead with a good finish and Adam Shorto made it 3 fifteen minutes later. Bitter experience should have taught us that SK never give up and they duly scored 5 minutes later and got the equaliser with 10 minutes to go. The game was finely balanced but we came away with all three points , Adam shorto getting his second 2 minutes from time and Dan Cashmore capped a fine performance with a drought breaking goal on the whistle. Pleased to get the points but ill-discipline could have cost us the match. SK battled all the way and were in it right to the end-we wish them well
