St Michael 0 Living Hope 6

Steve Farley writes,

With last weeks bloodied nose (literally) at the hands of Zion it was time to tackle St Michael in the division 3 Cup.

Both teams started brightly with both teams showing nice touches but it was Craig who opened the scoring. Jack setting him up with a precise diagonal through ball for Craig to run on to. 0-1

Ten minutes later Callum made it two. Martin supplied Pete, who released a loose ball under pressure that fell to Callum for a simple tap in. 0-2

Five minutes before the break, Andy found himself in a wide forward position and crossed to Craig who toed it in. 0-3

Two minutes later Craig squared to Pete who beat 3 players to run the ball in. Half time 0-4

Second half saw St Michael tighten up but we still saw two more goals. First Jack had a shot that was well blocked but it fell to Chrissy T whose left foot shot hit underside of bar and in. 0-5

Three minutes later Craig made it two goals and two assists with a pass to Martin who drilled one in from twelve yards. Final score 0-6

It wasn’t one sided by any means. St Michael had several chances but too often their finishing let them down (just like us last week!) Carl had to make one fine save in the first half and they hit the bar in the second whilst man of the match defender Robbie used his pace on many occasions to keep us out of trouble.

So we get a Saturday off next week before our nice easy game against Clarendon in the League Cup. Good luck lads!
