St Thomas Aldridge 4 Corinthians SK 0

SK dominated the opening exchanges and it was only thanks to our arthiritic ,geriatric keeper Rob wood that we did not concede as he made a good save on 5 minutes in a one on one situation and a superb save on 15 minutes tipping a good shot round the post.We at last managed a response on 18 minutes when Shane Tambs had a good strike well saved. We took the lead on 22 minutes ,Tommy Wright making his long awaited return from injury, netting with a smart header. The play was fairly even up to the interval but shortly after the break on 51 vminutes Marc Tandys looping free kick crept under the bar for our scond goal.Tommy Wright then scored with another header on 65 minutes and Luke Helsdon made it four with an ecellent goal on 72 minutes..It was great to get a win at last but all credit to SK who never gave up and for whom those early misses proved so costly-we wish them well
