Another defeat but a much improved performance after last weeks debacle. We started brightly and on eight minutes Luke Helsdon scored with a smart finish after good work by Adam Shorto. Sheldon were level within a minute with a well taken goal. Two minutes later we were back in front, Marc Tandy capitalising on a keeper error. Both sides were playing good football and Sheldon equalised on twenty minutes with an excellent strike only for us to regain the lead a minute later through Adam Shorto. The game ebbed and flowed before Sheldon equalised on thirty five minutes as we allowed them a free header from a corner. Two minutes later Sheldon took the lead with a finish from close range only for frustrated striker Mark Roadway to charge forward and hammer one in from a corner. 4-4 at half time-both sides knew that they would be first on Match of the Day. After the break the game was very even until a defensive slip up gifted our visitors the lead and they settled the game two minutes later with a sixth goal. Whilst Sheldon edged the remainder of the game creating and missing chances, to our credit, we battled to the end going close on a couple of occasions. Sheldon are a really good team and we wish Lyndon and his boys well. Next week we are at Amblecote and their victory over City has made this match a six pointer.
