Shattered would be an understatement but duty calls. I would love to expand on the forecasts and reviews of the matches each but unfortunately I have had no time to do so. I would like to put some meat on the bone regarding my forecasts, but alas, again time is not my friend. So it’s just the basic Predictions with this weeks challenger John Myatt from St Mary’s. Last week saw me get 9 points with 5 correct predictions which included 2 correct scorelines. Jim wilkes from Excel Church scored 7 points with 5 correct predictions and 1 correct scoreline. So, a little gain for me there. Unsure on who is winning as I need to tally up the running totals, (another task for this weekend).
(Edit from above and can’t be bothered to delete) -I really want to expand on the forecasts so here goes:
I thought Brierley Hill might get a bit of a thumping last week but boy, Clarendon really went into overdrive smashing the net 17 times. I hope the players do not get the match ball for a hat trick because Remmel Johnson and Khalil Barnaby both scored 4 with Jordan Thomas and Joshua Berry also getting 3 each. Stevon Richards added another 2 with Ottis Reynolds getting the other. I fancy them to continue their fine scoring run against a Monyhull side whose defence will be stretched once more this weekend.
I don’t hold out much hope for Brierley Hill against Corinthians and I anticipate far fewer goals but still expect Corinthians to bag all 3 points.
Joseph Stokes from Chawn Hill Church also bagged a hat trick as they overcame Excel 6-0. Todays opponents will I believe be a tougher nut to crack, so much so that I believe Chawn will come away empty handed with St Andrews winning.
As for Excel, well, they come up against League leaders Amblecote and like Chawn I also expect them, (Excel), to go home with no points.
Connect Sports also had a player smash the net 3 times, with Adam Ricketts notching his hat trick, (and maybe the match ball), in Connects 9-4 win over Monyhull. They currently sit proudly at the top of Division 1 and will probably be doing so tomorrow as they overcome Charlemont Star who I used to class as stubborn and hard working opponents. 10 conceded in 5 games isn’t so bad but scoring less than 1 a game is. So, yep, it’s a Connect win in that match for me.
I thought that whilst they lost, Christ Church Coseley result appears to be a decent score against one of the big boys from Div 1 and I reckon they may keep in touch with the teams above them in Div 2 with a draw against Living Hope Church, who also had an impressive result in the Cup last week beating Saint Michael 2-1.
My hunch for this week is that I expect Saint Michael to bounce back with an away win over Life Central. Nothing to really pick between both sides but I just feel Life Central are not firing on all cylinders yet.. let’s see how that hunch goes!
Rowley College also seem to be another team who haven’t got started properly just yet and again, there is not much to choose between them and their opponents City Church, I really believe this could go either way but it’s a City and home win for me.
I think that only leaves the Delph versus Dudley match which should see loads of goals with 52 goals being scored in the 9 games that these 2 teams have been involved in…. so 0-0 maybe? well, not for me, it’s a Dudley win with a total of 6 goals being scored in the match. (Hope you have enjoyed the preview and maybe, just maybe, some of what I have written has helped your managers team talk), that’s if the rain hasn’t stopped play. Isn’t that a cricket phrase?
