it seems a long time since doing the last challenge with it being published very early in the previous week. This week is the opposite with it done very late on Friday night. (I was aiming to do it last night but other League issues took precedent which Club Secretaries have been informed about). Anyway, as the clock ticks nearer to midnight I need to better the predictions of my go to guy John Millist from Monyhull Church.
After reading Pete’s match report last week I reckon his players will turn in a more focused performance and overcome a Charlemont Star side who are struggling to find the back of the net. 2 teams remain unbeaten in Division One, St Marys and Clarendon. With the former not playing this week, will they be the only team left with that record? I don’t think so, whilst I fully expect a Clarendon win I think it will be a close scoreline. Connect had a cracking result last week in what was a goal feast of a game and I fully expect goals once more in their match versus Saint Michael with Connect edging it once again. Life Central play only their 2nd game of the season and whilst they were beaten in their only game so far I reckon they will overcome Monyhull leaving them as the only team without a win in Division One. City Church travel to St Andrews Netherton and I reckon they will be travelling back empty handed with St Andrews winning by 2 clear goals.
2nd plays 3rd in Division Two and with both teams having 16 goals in their 3 matches so far I am anticipating a few goals in this game. With Dudley Lions having the slightly worse defensive record I have gone for a Christ Church narrow win. At the other end of the table the bottom 2 play each other and looking at their defensive records you would again anticipate a few goals here. But to win games you need goal scorers, have either team got any? Well I am hoping so as I’ve forecast a draw with plenty of goals in it. A team that definitely have players who know where the back of the net is are Living Hope Church Utd and I think this will continue against tomorrows opponents, Brierley Hill. A comprehensive win for Living Hope. The last match sees St Thomas Aldridge host Corinthians S.K. Goals aplenty in St Thomas’s 3 games so far, 17 so far, but unfortunately for them 12 have been at the wrong end! Corinthians on the hand have only let in 3 in their 2 games and I believe their defence will hold firm again with a narrow win.
