Living Hope Church United are a phoenix club, rising from the ashes of the old Living Hope Church that came to a close at the end of the 2013-14 season - five years after their forming. The new outfit was dreamt up by now-player/manager Callum Oakshott, who coaxed previous Living Hope Church manager Steve Farley and former player Lee Ralph to join the venture, as club secretary and assistant manager/player, respectively.
From that point onward, player recruitment was key. With the very first LHC United training session hosting six players, the club soon began to discern some familiar faces from yesteryear arriving. The newly-instated management spent hours scouring for new players to garner a playing squad for the forthcoming 2015-16 season.
The club's inaugural season started better than any had expected. Dropping only a few points from the opening seven fixtures, LHC United's first season looked promising. Yet, a run of countless losses saw the team plummet down the table, before shoring things up at the start of 2016. Thus, the club's maiden season was somewhat a roller-coaster experience, but a joy for those appreciating the opportunity to represent Living Hope Church in new colours.
Following the post-season break, LHC United parted ways with a number of players and, once more, set about recruiting to add to the nucleus of the squad. This time around, the club's management felt they had recruited aptly for the forthcoming season, possessing a squad who swiftly gelled together off-field, and made managing affairs easier.
The start of the club's second season saw LHC United pick up a mixture of results, largely floating around mid-table.
