This was another hard fought win against Rowley, it is never easy. We won but never really got going, and Rowley can feel aggrieved that they did not get a point. We took the lead with pretty much the only time we played some football in the match, Locke and Coyne combining well before Locke arrowed a brilliant finish near post. We seemed to think we had won the game after going 1-0 up and huffed and puffed through to around 65 minutes when they equalized when we dawdled and didn’t clear. They then had a fair few half chances without ever really having a ‘proper’ chance. We then got the winner with a Wiedeman header from a corner and managed to hold out despite Rowley pressure which I am sure Pete will describe in his report! However we kept going and got the win we needed, massive game vs City next week where we must lift our game!
